Netflix Drops ‘The Witcher’ Season 3 Teaser Trailer, First Look Images

Henry Cavill’s final season on the hit fantasy series streams this summer on Netflix, with Volume 1 launching June 29 and Volume 2 launching July 27.

Netflix just released a teaser trailer, key art and first look images for The Witcher Season 3, set to launch this Summer. Volume 1 will include episodes 1-5 and will be released globally on June 29, while Volume 2 will include episodes 6-8, and will drop July 27.

In the upcoming season, Geralt must take Ciri into hiding as monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.

Henry Cavill returns for the last time as Geralt of Rivia, alongside series leads Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg) and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra). The Witcher also stars Joey Batey (Jaskier); Myanna Buring (Tissaia); Eamon Farren (Cahir); Mimî M Khayisa (Fringilla); Royce Pierreson (Istredd); Anna Shaffer (Triss Merigold); Mecia Simson (Francesca); Tom Canton (Filavandrel); Mahesh Jadu (Vilgefortz); Graham McTavish (Dijkstra); Cassie Clare (Philippa); Hugh Skinner (Radovid); Wilson Mbomio (Dara); Lars Mikkelsen (Stregobor); Terence Maynard (Artorius); Simon Callow (Codringher); Liz Carr (Fenn); Therica Wilson-Read (Sabrina); Safiyya Ingar (Keira); Rochelle Rose (Margarita); Michalina Olszanska (Marti); Robbie Amell (Gallatin); Jeremy Crawford (Yarpen); Bart Edwards (Emhyr); Aisha Fabienne Ross (Lydia); Christelle Elwin (Mistle); and Meng’er Zhang (Milva).

Stephen Surjik, Gandja Monteiro, Loni Peristere, and Bola Ogun will direct the series from scripts written by Mike Ostrowski; Javier Grillo-Marxuach; Tania Lotia; Haily Hall; Matthew D’Ambrosio; Clare Higgins; Rae Benjamin; and Troy Dangerfield.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich will showrun and executive produce alongside Steve Gaub; Matt O’Toole; Ostrowski; Grillo-Marxuach; Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko of Platige Films; and Jason Brown and Sean Daniel of Hivemind Content. Tera Vale Ragan, Veselin Karadjov, and Sasha Harris produce.

Season 3 marks Cavill’s finally portrayal of Geralt, after which the great white wolf necklace will pass to Liam Hemsworth for Season 4.

Stream Volume 1 of The Witcher starting June 29, and Volume 2 on July 27 only on Netflix.
