Netflix Drops ‘Robin Robin’ Official Trailer and Poster

Aardman’s charming stop-motion holiday special, featuring puppets made from felt and starring Gillian Anderson and Richard E Grant, hits the streamer November 24.

Netflix has just dropped the official trailer and poster for its upcoming stop-motion animation musical holiday special, Robin Robin, which debuts globally November 24. Produced by Oscar-winning Aardman Animation, based in Bristol, UK, stop-motion pioneers known for their animated movies starring fan favorite characters including Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, the 30-minute special, the studio’s first original production done with Netflix, stars Bronte Carmichael (Christopher Robin), Adeel Akhtar (Enola Holmes), Golden Globe winner Gillian Anderson (The Crown) and Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?). Aardman is also in production with Netflix on a second Chicken Run film as well as a Shaun the Sheep Christmas special for 2022.

The special is created and directed by Dan Ojari (Slow Derek) and Mikey Please (BAFTA winner for The Eagleman Stag); written by Ojari, Please, and Sam Morrison; produced by Helen Argo (Tate Movie Project, Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels); and executive produced by Sarah Cox (Tate Movie Project and BAFTA nominated Heavy Pockets). Music and songs were created by The Bookshop Band.
