Popular animated show ‘Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe’ streams August 15 in the U.S. followed by ‘The Dog & Pony Show’ in September and ‘Super Wish’ in October.
Corus Entertainment’s Nelvana is launching three animated series on Peacock in the U.S. beginning August 15, produced through redknot, the company’s joint venture with Warner Bros. Discovery. The first of the shows, the 3DCG Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe, debuts August 15 with all three seasons (78 x 22min), followed by The Dog & Pony Show September 15, and Super Wish on October 10.
“Each of these shows are adored by audiences worldwide for their respective humor, wit, and adventure,” said Nelvana and Kids Can Press VP and head Mellany Welsh. “And this partnership with Peacock is an opportunity to bring more of Nelvana’s captivating content to viewers in the U.S. We remain dedicated to introducing new stories to kids worldwide and we are excited for fans to fall in love with our engaging characters.”
Agent Binky: Pets of the Universe is based on the best-selling books by Ashley Spires and published by Corus Entertainment’s Kids Can Press. The show follows Agent Binky, and his fellow P.U.R.S.T. Agents, who are all geared up and ready as ever to protect their human families from aliens, robots, and the W.U.R.S.T. villain – Chirpy McChirp! The show features characters, adventures, and cool gadgets.
The Dog & Pony Show (26 x 22 min), a 2D animated series created by 10-time daytime Emmy Award-winning writer Josh Selig, follows two very different best friends, Dog and Pony. The duo leaves their magical world of Rainbow Fjörd to move to the not-so-magical big city of Unicity. Between Pony’s outrageous ideas and Dog’s fascination with the mundane, things never quite go as planned. Debuts September 15.
Super Wish (26 x 22), a 2D animated series created by Nelvana’s own Vanessa Esteves and Emmy Award-winning Adrian Thatcher, debuts October 10. The series follows Jesse Cameron, who accidentally wishes his birthday party to disappear. He and his friends must venture through a magical realm known as The Happy Land of Birthdays to track down and un-do his Super Wish to get back home. As they encounter wondrous characters and action-packed adventures, Jesse and his friends rediscover the magic of birthdays and just how great it is to be a kid.
