Neil Gaman’s ‘The Sandman’ May Add Taron Egerton

The ‘Kingsman’ star has reportedly joined Netflix’s adaptation of the groundbreaking graphic novel, with many speculating he will portray John Constantine.

We had to take out the magnifying glass for this reveal. In a recent Deadline piece about Taron Egerton’s involvement in In with the Devil, they briefly mention that the actor, “has been attached to an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman.” We can’t find any proof or previous reveals of Egerton joining the upcoming Netflix series, but many gossip sites are now reporting the news.

While this may be a mistype, it is worth noting Egerton did lend his voice to John Constantine in the Audible rendition of the classic graphic novel. Either he will be lending his appearance to the character as well, or the author was confused about which Gaiman project Egerton actually worked on.

The Sandman will feature Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) as Lucifer, Tom Sturridge (Sweetbitter) as Dream, Vivienne Acheampong (The Witches) as Lucienne, Boyd Holbrook (We Can Be Heroes) as The Corinthian, Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as Roderick Burgess, Asim Chaudhry (People Just Do Nothing) as Abel, and Sanjeeev Bhaskar (Paddington 2) as Cain. The series currently touts a 2021 release.
