NDL Announces NetImmerse 4.0

Numerical Design Ltd. (NDL) has announced NetImmerse 4.0, the latest version of its 3D game-development toolkit. The new version will boast support for Microsoft Xbox and Nintendo Gamecube, a new tool for previewing keyframe animations, new rendering capabilities and performance increases for the core product and free plug-ins. Already two titles for the much hyped Microsoft Xbox are in development: ODDWORLD INHABITANT'S MUNCH'S ODDYSEE and an as yet unannounced title from Totally Games. "Version 4.0 is based on feedback from NetImmerse customers developing games for a wide variety of genres and on multiple platforms," says John Austin, NDL's president. "We don't create new tools in a vacuum. It's all about what our customers some of the biggest names in the gaming world tell us they need to take their games to the next level." NetImmerse 4.0 will be available this April, but for those who wish to get a sneak preview of what's to come, NDL will be present at the upcoming Game Developers Conference in San Jose, March 20-24.
