24 Frames reports that Jeff Nathanson (CATCH ME IF YOU CAN) has been hired to rewrite MEN IN BLACK 3, which starts production tomorrow in New York. The scribe will mainly be tweaking the scenes in the film that take place in 1969. The production will shoot until Christmas and then take a break until February. Etan Cohen (TROPIC THUNDER) penned the original script.
The new film finds Will Smith's Agent Jay going back in time where he meets the younger version of Agent Kay, who was originated by Tommy Lee Jones and will be played as a younger man by Josh Brolin.
Barry Sonnenfeld is directing. The film is set to hit theaters on May 25, 2012.
