Press Release from Moonscoop

Paris, 21 November 2011 – Moonscoop, the worldwide brand management and entertainment company representing properties from some of the leading animation producers across the globe, is pleased to announce development a new social online Code Lyoko game in partnership with 3D DUO, a leading French creator and producer of video games.

The game will be launched from Spring 2012 as a Facebook application with plans to roll it out to further online platforms. It will remain faithful to the look and feel of the television series and players will be able to take the roles of their heroes from the show. The fanbase community has risen to over 130,000 registered fans on the official Facebook page alone, with an international community of more than 400,000 active members.

Development of the online game is the next step in Moonscoop’s licensing and merchandising plans for the consistently popular Code Lyoko brand. Four animated seasons of the hit television show have aired all over the globe supported by an extensive consumer products range. Moonscoop is currently in production with partners France Television and Canal J on the much anticipated fifth season Code Lyoko Evolution (26x26’) which takes the series into live action for the first time, split with CGI animated sequences.

Lionel Marty, President Worldwide Distribution and Consumer Products said: “Code Lyoko was first aired in 2003 and since then has grown to have a considerable fan base worldwide, which has supported the property through 97 episodes, and an extensive licensing and merchandising campaign. The Code Lyoko online community is an increasingly important part of the brand and we look forward to launching this online in the lead up to the launch of the new chapter: Code Lyoko Evolution.”

Recent Code Lyoko game releases include Nintendo DS, PS2, PSP and Wii.

Code Lyoko blends action and adventure and a swift pace with rich graphics and issues for today's kids. Our planet Earth and the parallel universe called Lyoko face the threat of annihilation. A super virus has infected the central processing units in X.A.N.A and only four kids can foil the mad computer's evil designs! Yumi, Ulrich, Odd and Jeremy lead doubles lives: ordinary students in their early teens by day, action heroes in the virtual digital world.
