Mondo Expands Digital Footprint

Mondo library of hit animated series including ‘Happy Tree Friends’ and ‘Deep Space 69’ added to LeEco’s streaming service.

LOS ANGELES -- Mondo is adding its favorite digital series like Happy Tree Friends and Deep Space to LeEco, a streaming service that will be available on LeEco’s new line of televisions and mobile phones in the United States.

LeEco is a leading global company that provides breakthrough experiences through an open, integrated ecosystem of streaming content, enabled by its Internet and cloud platform, and a wide array of next-generation connected smart devices – including smartphones, TVs, bikes, VR and electric cars.

Mondo adds LeEco to its growing digital footprint, which began with its YouTube channel -- the biggest animation channel on the service, with more than 3 billion views -- and expanded last month when Mondo announced it will join the new VRV streaming platform from Ellation, on which Mondo will create original content. Mondo’s channel is currently distributed on its owned and operated website and mobile apps, Apple TV and ROKU.

Mondo joins a diverse list of content partners on LeEco. LeEco’s streaming service offers seamless content experiences with a current user base in China of more than 53 million daily unique visitors consuming a content library featuring more than 100,000 TV episodes and 5,000 films. American audiences can view Le Eco content, including current series produced by Mondo, beginning Nov. 1.

“LeEco is a fantastic way for us to continue our strategy of expanding our brand and bringing our content to animation fans across multiple platforms,” said Mondo CEO John Evershed. “Fans of our animated series like Happy Tree Friends and Deep Space 69 will find a full library of episodes on LeEco totaling hours of content.”

Mondo Media is a privately held company based in Los Angeles. As it brings content to the LeEco platform in the U.S., Mondo and its studio and production-services division, Six Point Harness, will continue to create and distribute content on the digital platforms, and produce features and TV for the traditional market.
