Mitch Feinman has been appointed Feinman to the newly created position of vp to lead Fox Mobile Ent., the new unit of 20th Century Fox Television devoted to creating and distributing unique content and marketing to the worldwide wireless market. Feinman will oversee Fox Filmed Ent.s strategic relationship with Glu Mobile for domestic distribution of film content, as well as wireless content creation and marketing across Fox TV business units. Additionally, Feinman handles U.S. carrier relations with Cingular, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile and serves as point person for original content on Vodafone, the worlds largest carrier.

Mitch Feinman brings a unique combination of digital content and marketing expertise to Fox Mobile Entertainment, as seen in his inspired invention of the name Mobisode, now the standard industry term for original video content made for mobile, said Fox Mobile Ent. president Lucy Hood. He is well deserving of this promotion.

Feinman will continue as vp of digital content for News Corp., in which capacity he helped to conceive, design and launch FOX InFlight, the companys pay-per-view channel of movies and TV shows offered on every seat back of JetBlue Airways long and medium-haul flights. Prior to News Corp., Feinman co-founded and headed business development and marketing efforts for LocalAlert, a wireless service informing New York City area residents of weather, traffic and other hyperlocal information via text messaging to cell phones.

He spent several years with The Walt Disney Co., most recently as vp, business development and marketing for new media at the ABC division where Feinman oversaw development of new revenue streams and strategic alliances with companies such as Yahoo!, AT&T Wireless, The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and Harpo Productions.

Feinman was also a vp at Young & Rubicam, a major advertising agency, and a senior consultant at Regis McKenna, a 50-person marketing strategy firm based in Silicon Valley for 35 years. He spent the first five years at Prodigy (which, at the time, was owned by IBM and Sears), the first major consumer online service.

Fox Mobile Ent. has already distributed four series and 100 mobisodes to mobile via Vodafone and Verizon, including 24:CONSPIRACY, an original series inspired by the acclaimed drama 24; and SIMPLE LIFE: INTERNS, a mobile program created from never-before-seen material from the Fox reality hit. The unit is also responsible for managing the successful AMERICAN IDOL voting franchise for the Fox Broadcasting Co., as well as the recent successfully viral release of FAMILY GUY mobile content. FME recently crafted a two-year licensing and marketing alliance that provides content and guarantees worldwide wireless marketing support of 12 feature films, including ROBOTS, KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, MR. AND MRS. SMITH and ICE AGE 2: THE MELTDOWN.

20th Century Fox Television, a division of News Corp, is a leading supplier of entertainment programming domestically and around the world.
