MIPCOM News: Channelzero Charges In with Sophie & New 3D Deals

channelzero has announced production deals with AGOGO and Face2Face with the properties available at the upcoming MIPCOM. With AGOGO, channelzero will produce three half hour episodes of its 2D property, SOSOPHIE. With Face2Face, it has entered the development stage on two 3D projects, GHETTO FABULOUS and ERNEST MAKES HISTORY.

SOSOPHIE, which features the voice of Carmen Electra (SCARY MOVIE), is described as THE SIMPSONS meets THE DUKES OF HAZARD, following the adventures of a young female daredevil. The first of the three episodes is already in production and set to premiere in January 2004 at NATPE. The three episodes follow one storyline, which will be available as a feature in 2004.

GHETTO is an adult series, described as LEGALLY BLONDE meets THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS, is a Quentin Tarantino-style dark comedy. The show will follows a Beverly Hills brat who returns to his New York roots and gets involved in illegal street racing. Aimed at kids 6-11, ERNEST will bring the late Jim Varneys famous redneck Ernest P. Worrell into the world of 3D animation in time-traveling adventures with his sidekick Billy the Big Mouth Bass.
