Mike Disa to Helm Hoodwinked 2: Hood Vs Evil

Mike Disa will helm HOODWINKED 2: HOOD VS. EVIL, the CGI animated sequel to the 2006 box office hit HOODWINKED, for the Weinstein Co and Kanbar Ent. The Weinstein Co. will co-produce and co-finance the sequel with Maurice Kanbars CGI animation studio, Kanbar Ent.

The sequel catches up with Red as she is training in a distant land with the mysterious "Sisters of the Hood." When Red is called back home by Nicky Flippers, head of the Happily Ever After Agency, she pairs up with the Wolf to investigate the disappearance of Hansel & Gretel. Granny and the rest of the gang will be back as well, joined by some exciting new characters.

I am thrilled to be working on this film and with everyone involved, Disa said.

Kanbar and David K. Lovegren will produce, while Eric Robinson, vp of production and development for The Weinstein Co. will oversee the project on behalf of TWC.
