Mettle Launches 360/VR Master Training Series

Adobe certified trainer Nick Harauz delivers hands-on approach to 360 Filmmaking; Free 360 assets and video tutorials take filmmakers from ‘Intro to Export’ in the Cinematic 360 postproduction workflow.

MONTREAL -- 360/VR filmmaking software developer Mettle has launched a free, comprehensive 360/VR Master Training Series designed to teach aspiring 360/VR filmmakers the cinematic 360/VR production workflow in a step-by-step tutorial video series. Led by Adobe certified trainer Nick Harauz, this highly detailed series is presented in a series of video “chapters” and includes everything filmmakers need to get started, including free 360 video assets.

The entire series is organized into four chapters, covering:

  • Intro to VR: This includes six sub-chapters that discuss the basics of 360/VR, its impact on storytelling for filmmakers, current tools and technology available on the market, production and post production considerations, the importance of ‘stitching,’ and using an optimized workstation.
  • Importing, Editing and Organizing 360 video clips in Adobe Premiere Pro: This chapter is a hands-on, step-by-step presentation with nine subchapters.
  • Adding Transitions, Post FX and Graphics in the 360 Space: Includes ten subchapters of content covering everything needed to visually enhance 360 productions with effects, graphics, titling, transitions and more;
  • Exporting Your 360/VR Projects: With four subchapters, this section demonstrates the final stage of the 360/VR production workflow, with critical tips on the best ways to experience your productions.
