Me Books Launches Children's Book Contest

Me Books and Show Me the Animation partner to launch a children’s book contest to unearth one of the UK’s best budding author/illustrators.

Fancy getting your work published on the multi award winning Me Books app and reaching millions of little storytellers all over the world?

Me Books has partnered with Show Me The Animation to launch their first-ever open to submissions contest to unearth one of the UK’s best budding author/ illustrators.  Together they are seeking brand new and original picture books to ignite the imaginations of little storytellers. The best submissions to the contest will have their picture book published in the Me Books Shop available for children all around the world to see, love and enjoy!

Getting published in the Me Books Shop will see the selected entrants join Authors including Lauren Child (Charlie and Lola), David McKee (Elmer), Ed Vere (Banana!), Chris Judge (The Lonely Beast) and David Lucas (Nutmeg) in the Me Books Shop!

Me Books is fast becoming the “Go to App” for families of little storytellers. With over 130 of the top children’s titles on shelf. Now, for the first time, Me Books is offering you the chance to have your story sit alongside the worlds best loved classic tales and modern super brands including Peppa Pig, Charlie and Lola & Topsy and Tim.

The Me Books Undiscovered Contest offers budding author / illustrators a fantastic opportunity to share their work with the world. Selected contests entrants will be invited to sell their picture book through the Me Books Shop and will be involved in every stage of the production (including the narration/recording) for his/her approval.

The retail proposition for selected entrants will be very simple. Selected entrants will provide digital assets to Me Books. Me Books will create a Me Books version of the selected title(s) and publish the book in the Me Books Shop at no cost. The selected entrants will receive 50% of the net revenue from their title sale

The deadline for entries is 31st May 2013 after which Me Books and Show Me The Animation will be selecting their favorite entries. But they don’t want to do it without your help, after the deadline has passed all submitted entries will be uploaded to www.showmetheanimation.com where you will have the opportunity to “Have your Say” by commenting and voting for you favorite little picture books.
