Paramount Pictures and Skydance’s upcoming sci-fi adventure introduces a new breed of Transformers - The Maximals, played by Ron Perlman, Michelle Yeoh, David Sobolov, and Tongayi Chirisa, hitting theaters June 9.
Maximals, assemble! The official Transformers Twitter account has dropped character posters for the animalistic counterparts to the Autobots and Decepticons. The post also reveals Ron Perlman will play Optimus Primal, joined by Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, David Sobolov as Rhinox, and Tongayi Chirisa as Cheetor.

The newest Transformers film promises to take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure with the Autobots while introducing a whole new breed of Transformer to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. Steven Caple Jr. directs with Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback starring in the action-packed film.
Joining Perlman, Yeoh, Sobolov, and Chirisa are Ramos; Fishback; Tobe Nwigwe; Peter Cullen; Peter Dinklage; Liza Koshy; John DiMaggio; Michaela Jaé Rodriguez; Pete Davidson; and Cristo Fernández.
Gary Brozenich serves as the production VFX supervisor, with MPC and Wētā FX handling visual effects production.
Rise of the Beasts is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura; Tom DeSanto; Don Murphy; Michael Bay; Mark Vahradian; and Duncan Henderson.
