Streamer drops trailer and art from its new 2D animated show, which follows a stranded space crew’s fight to survive; debuts October 19 at midnight.
Max has released teaser art and a trailer for its new 2D adult sci-fi series Scavengers Reign, created by animators, writers, and directors Joe Bennett and Charles Huettner, that follows a stranded space crew’s fight to survive. It debuts with three episodes October 19 at midnight PT, followed by three episodes weekly through November 9.
In Scavengers Reign, the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship find themselves stranded on a beautiful yet unforgiving alien planet – where they must survive long enough to escape or be rescued. But as the survivors struggle to locate their downed ship and missing crewmates, their new home reveals a hostile world allowed to thrive without human interference.
The series features lush, visually stunning animation and presents “a unique view of the consequences of unchecked hubris and humanity’s eternal desire to conquer the unknown.” Hmmmmmm, as the Witcher would muse.
The voice cast includes Wunmi Mosaku (Azi), Bob Stephenson (Sam), Sunita Mani (Ursula), Ted Travelstead (Kamen), and Alia Shawkat (Levi).
Benjy Brooke serves as supervising director, with Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, Shannon Prynoski, and Ben Kalina serving as executive producers for Titmouse. The show is co-executive produced by Sean Buckelew and James Merrill for Green Street Pictures, and produced by Titmouse. Bennett and Huettner also serve as executive producers.
