Max Sets December 5 ‘Creature Commandos’ Debut

The new adult animated series, which tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans, marks the first title to kick off the new DC Universe.

Max has just announced that the upcoming Max Original adult animated series Creature Commandos will debut on December 5, with one episode released weekly through January 16. The series marks the first title to release in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s ‘Gods & Monsters’ chapter of the franchise. As previously announced, almost all the voice actors in the series will also portray their characters in live-action projects.

Creature Commandos tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option.

The series stars Steve Agee as Economos; Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana; Anya Chalotra as Circe; Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky; Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr.; Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel; David Harbour as Frankenstein; Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus; Indira Varma as The Bride; and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Creature Commandos is written and executive produced by Gunn, and based on DC characters and produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation. Additional executive producers include Peter Safran, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register; Rick Morales serves as a supervising producer.
