Collin Chou, who played Seraph in the second two MATRIX films, told SCI FI WIRE he will be one of four leads in a fantasy ninja movie from Larry and Andy Wachowski, who will produce but not direct.
Chou did not confirm whether the title VARIETY reported as NINJA ASSASSIN was accurate.
"I don't think I'm supposed to talk about it, but I am working with the Wachowski brothers next month, and I look forward to working with them again on a major movie," Chou said in an interview at the Wizard World convention in Los Angeles over the weekend. "It will be in Berlin."
Chou did confirm that his role was originally offered to Jet Li, his costar (along with Jackie Chan) in the upcoming martial arts fantasy THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM.
Production starts in late April or early May, Chou said.
VARIETY reported earlier this year that Korean pop star Rain was one of the four main characters, that producers included Joel Silver and James McTeigue (V FOR VENDETTA) would likely direct.
