Lucasfilm Drops 3 ‘Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures’ Shorts

Now available on YouTube, the films provide a sneak peek at the first animated preschool series from the ‘Star Wars’ universe, which follows Younglings as they forge their paths to becoming Jedi knights, explore the galaxy, and help citizens and creatures in need; the show hits Disney+ and Disney Junior in May.

The Force is with us! Even if it's teeny! Lucasfilm has released three fun shorts this week ahead of its Young Jedi Adventures animated preschool series May 4th release on Disney Junior and Disney+.  The show takes place two centuries prior to the timeline of Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, following Younglings as they forge their paths to becoming Jedi knights.

Watch Short One, Meet the Young Jedi, which follows Kai Brightstar, Nash Durango, Lys Solay, and Nubs as they work together to battle a training droid at the Jedi Temple on Tenoo:

Young Jedi Adventures is set during the High Republic era at the prime of the Jedi Order, and follows Jedi younglings as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help citizens and creatures in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way. The cast includes Jamaal Avery, Jr. as Kai Brightstar; Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay; Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs; Emma Berman as Nash Durango; Jonathan Lipow as RJ-83; and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda.

Produced by Lucasfilm for Disney Junior and Disney+, the series is executive produced by Lucasfilm's James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes. Michael Olson is the showrunner and executive producer. Elliot M. Bour is co-producer and supervising director, Jeannine Hodson is producer, and Lamont Magee is consulting producer.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures debuts this coming May 4 on Disney+ and Disney Junior.
