Lori Joseph Named Producer At Spy Post

Lori Joseph joins San Franciscobased post-production company, Spy Post, as producer, working closely with svp/exec producer Anastacia Maggioncalda to produce for the telecine, visual effects and finishing departments.

"As we continue to grow our business, it is important to provide our clients with the level of production support needed to meet their expectations," said Eric Hanson, Spy Post ceo. "Lori has a proven track record as a producer in a variety of mediums and brings great focus, energy and professionalism to our team."

Joseph began her career at ILM and, in a nine-year tenure, worked her way up from a production assistant to post-production supervisor on special effects TV commercials. Projects at ILM included Acura, Gatorade, Coors Light, ADT, Pontiac, Energizer and Intel. Most recently, she has been freelancing at notable companies, including Radium, The Orphanage, Phoenix Editorial, Palma VFX and Mekanism. Projects include graphics and editorial for the Sony booth at E3; cinematics for the EA games THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS, THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE THIRD AGE and URBZ; a commercial for Gatorade; a music video for Kanye West and a DVD series for Carmen Electra.

While at ILM, Joseph would bring finishing work to Radium where she first met Maggioncalda, then senior exec producer of the visual effects company. When Joseph later went freelance, Maggioncalda brought her into Radium as a vfx producer on several projects. The two reconnected again when Joseph joined Groove Eleven as an assoc producer and Maggioncalda was the producer/director of new business development for the interactive design and branding firm.

Aside from her post-production work, Joseph is singer/songwriter/guitar player of the cult underground band, Acid King, which has been together for 13 years and has toured the U.S., Europe and is on its way to Japan.
