Lombardi To Head Finance at Sesame Workshop

Michael Lombardi has joined Sesame Workshop as evp/cfo, to oversee corporate finance and administration for the Workshop, including preparation of the organization's budget, estimates and financial statements. Lombardi will also evaluate strategic initiatives and new business opportunities.

Michaels experience is exactly what the Workshop needs now as it focuses on growing its business in the U.S. and around the world as well as expanding its efforts as a cause worth supporting, said Mel Ming, coo, to whom Lombardi will report.

Lombardi was svp, programming finance at Showtime Networks, where he managed the financial operations for the programming group. Lombardi began his career at WNET/Thirteen, holding several positions within the finance organization. He also worked for several other media companies, including ESPN, Madison Square Garden, and NBC where he held finance exec positions.
