LipSync Post Appoints Andrew Morley New 3D Head

London-based LipSync Post has hired industry vet Andrew Morley as its new Head of 3D/VFX Supervisor. Morley's appointment further strengthens LipSync's film post-production services, following its recent 500,000 GPD investment in new state-of-the-art vfx facilities in Wardour Street.

Morley joins LipSync Post from Lucasfilm Animation Singapore, where he held the role of digital artist group supervisor/vfx supervisor; he was responsible for running a department that produced feature film and concept work for Industrial Light & Magic, including TRANSFORMERS, HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX and THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, plus a variety of digital output for LucasArts' upcoming next-generation games. His role also included designing a flexible pipeline to refine the internal operating environment, and the sourcing and career development of 3D artists.

Prior to Lucasfilm Animation, Morley spent over three years at The Moving Picture Co., where he worked on SUNSHINE, BATMAN BEGINS and ELLA ENCHANTED. He has also worked at Industrial Light & Magic, The Mill and Imaj.

"Andrew's experience working with the best vfx companies in the world on the most challenging projects will be an enormous asset to LipSync, particularly as we expand our existing 3D capabilities," said Jon Diamond, managing director of the LipSync Group of Companies. "We have a number of high-profile films currently in the works and are in demand to take on several more in the coming months..."
