Late-night comedian Jay Leno is taking in on the chin in a very animated way, providing the voice of the Crimson Chin, a caped crusader, in THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS BIG SUPERHERO WISH, the first FAIRLY ODDPARENTS special, which airs in primetime on Nickelodeon at 8:00 pm on Feb. 16, 2004.
Leno has been featured on the popular series before as a mild-mannered talk show host, Charles Hampton Indigo, who develops chintastic superpowers when bitten on the chin by a radioactive actor. He becomes The Crimson Chin, a superhero righting a never-ending battle for truth, justice and oral hygiene; with help form his sidekick Cleft.
In the special, The Crimson Chin grants Timmy Turners wish for a world thats more like his favorite comic book. Timmy and his friends become superheroes, only to learn that everyday heroes deserve greater respect.
Leno welcomes the attention in this family favorite show, having authored his own book in 1998, LEADING WITH MY CHIN. He has a new book he has penned for kids, If ROAST BEEF COULD FLY, based on a story from his own childhood, due out from Simon & Schuster on March 23.
