Animation veteran to bolster the company’s development and production efforts for its Citizen Kids division.

Leanne Passafonti is set to join Citizen Skull Productions as head of production development for animation, bolstering the company’s development and production efforts for its Citizen Kids division.

Passafonti brings 11+ years’ experience developing and producing original content for the children’s media space. She’s worked with and for some of the industry’s biggest players (Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Classics, Toonmax, CCTV, Red Kite), on award winning and BAFTA-nominated shows such as the acclaimed George of the Jungle, Emmy & GooRoo, Ella Bella Bingo, House of Anubis and Stitch Up Showdown. Heather Kenyon remains the principal at the company.

Founded by Mark Myers in 2010, Citizen Skull Productions was created to produce quality features, documentaries and television shows. Recently completed projects are the upcoming features: 12 Feet Deep starring Alexandra Park (The Royals), Nora Jane Noone (Brooklyn) and Tobin Bell (Saw), and Heartthrob, with Peter Facinelli (Twilight), Keir Gilchrist (It Follows) and Aubrey Peeples (Nashville). These features add to a resume that includes Manson Family Vacation with the Duplass Brothers (SXSW 2015 premiere) and Experimenter with Winona Ryder and Peter Sarsgaard (Sundance 2015 premiere). TV projects include The Pond Stars for Nat. Geo. Wild and Mother of the Bride for Canada’s Slice network.

Drawing upon the experience of its principals Mark Myers and Heather Kenyon, Citizen Skull has expanded in the last two years to include Citizen Kids, a new division focusing on the children’s business, and Citizen Skull Management, a boutique management company centered on finding and nurturing diverse talent.
