Laura Fryer Appointed GM, Seattle Studios, Warner Bros. Interactive

Laura Fryer has been appointed GM, Seattle Studios, Warner Bros. Interactive Ent., overseeing the company's internal development studios based in Seattle.

Reporting to Samantha Ryan, SVP, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Ent., Fryer is responsible for leading the Seattle based development studios Monolith Productions, creators of the highly-anticipated FEAR 2: PROJECT ORIGIN which launched this month, and Snowblind Studios. In her new role, Fryer will help set strategic direction for the Seattle studios' game franchises as they innovate and advance the business as a part of the company's overall gaming objectives.

Prior to Warner Bros. Interactive, Fryer held the position of exec producer for Microsoft Games Studios, and was responsible for shipping great games for the Xbox and Windows platforms. The most recent title under her supervision was GEARS OF WAR 2.

An industry veteran, Fryer was one of the first members of Microsoft Game Studios in 1995, shipping several key titles as a producer. Prior to her return to Microsoft Game Studios in 2004, Laura was the director of the Xbox Advanced Technology Group, and a founding member of the Xbox project.
