M. Night Shyamalan's THE LAST AIRBENDER will arrive in theaters a day earlier, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Paramount will now release the film on Thursday, July 1, giving it an extra jump on the Independence Day weekend. The adaptation of Nickelodeon's hit animated series' big competition for the holiday weekend is THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, which opens a day earlier on Wednesday, June 30th.
