Laird, Leitch & Triveni Win 2003 Editors' Choice Awards From NAB

Winners of the 2003 Editors' Choice Awards, an extension of the annual NAB Awards for Innovation in Media (AIM) program, are Laird Telemedia's capdiv in the Content Creation category, Leitch Inc.'s CCS Navigator in the Content Management category and Triveni Digital's Skyscraper within the Content Delivery category. The winners were selected April 17, 2003 by a judging panel composed of editors from 18 industry trade publications. The pool of products evaluated by the editorial judging panel consisted of 15 products five in each of the three product categories that were selected by attendees at the NAB2003 exhibition in Las Vegas April 5-10 for the technological innovations that best addressed current and upcoming issues in the electronic media industry.

"NAB is pleased to further recognize these companies for their contributions to the electronic media industry," said NAB president/ceo Edward O. Fritts. "Winning an AIM is in itself an honorable achievement. Due to the editorial panels' extensive familiarity with the industry, the Editors' Choice recognition serves as additional confirmation of the strength and innovation that these winning technologies offer."

The AIM program provides a voice for NAB audiences, allowing them to publicly recognize pioneering products and technologies positioned to make the largest impact on the electronic media industry. Based solely on votes from the NAB exhibition's attendees, the program commends ground-breaking products that display a significant level of advancement by exceeding expectations for boosting efficiency, increasing user flexibility and creativity and/or lowering cost.

The NAB spring convention is the world's largest electronic media show covering the development, delivery and management of professional video and audio content across all mediums. Complete NAB2003 details are available at www.nab.org/conventions/nab2003.
