LAAF Returns to Hollywood December 10-11

The event offers a full weekend of programs featuring all films in competition, and an opening night party with works by and conversations with filmmakers, culminating with the LAAF Awards Ceremony.

The Los Angeles Animation Festival returns December 10-11 with a weekend of screenings, entertainment, and awards at the JAXX Theater in Hollywood. The event features nine programs from the Official Selection, including all films in competition.

The Opening Night Party features works by and conversations with filmmakers Joe Cappa (Tik Tok, Adult Swim, Bento Box) and Brad Ableson (The Simpsons, co-director Minions:The Rise Of Gru) and entertainment by one-man rock band Princess Frank, followed by an industry mixer and charity raffles.

Sunday evening is devoted to the LAAF Awards Ceremony with clips of each of the winning films and a screening of the festival’s Grand Prize Winner. Finalists are from hundreds of entries judged by a panel of luminaries from the animation and film community. Prizes for top winners come from sponsor Toon Boom. In addition, sponsor ASIFA Hollywood will be on site.

Tickets are available for all events at Eventbrite.com. Students and members of ASIFA receive a 20% discount. Discount codes are available in the run-up to the event from ASIFA's newsletter and school administrators. More information is available here.
