Kristen Johnston (3RD ROCK FROM THE SUN) has joined the cast of VAMPS, reports ComingSoon.net. The cast includes Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter and Sigourney Weaver.
Amy Heckerling wrote and will direct the film, which follows two party girl vampires who risk losing their immortality when they fall in love. Johnston is set to play Mrs. Van Helsing, the mother of the love interest of Stacey (Ritter).
Red Hour Films, Lucky Monkey Pictures' Lauren Versel and Molly Hassell are producing. Julie Kroll and Maria Teresa Arida are the exec producers.
Production will start in Detroit next week
