KidsCo Secures First Run Deals for The Future Is Wild And DinoSquad

KidsCo, the international children's channel owned by media companies NBC Universal, Cookie Jar Group and Corus Ent. has secured the broadcast rights to two animated series: DINOSQUAD and THE FUTURE IS WILD. The agreement will see these shows airing on KidsCo for the first time ever.

KidsCo's agreement with Cookie Jar for the broadcast rights to the action-adventure series DINOSQUAD, will see the channel airing the 26 x 22 minute series across all its global feeds on an exclusive basis (excluding Turkey, South Africa and Bulgaria).

In a further agreement, KidsCo has secured the broadcast rights for 26 x 22 minute episodes of the brand new animated series, THE FUTURE IS WILD to launch across KidsCo's central and eastern European feed from April.

DINOSQUAD follows the adventures of five teenagers, each with the power to turn into a respective dinosaur They use this power to fight the villainous Victor Veloci, who is intent on returning the world to the age of dinosaurs by turning humans into new mutant dinosaurs and accelerating global warming.

THE FUTURE IS WILD animated adventures follow on from the globally successful CGI series aimed at adults which has been a smash hit around the world. THE FUTURE IS WILD encourages children to question how the world and its flora and fauna will look in millions of years time. THE FUTURE IS WILD follows the adventures of C.G., an inhabitant from the seventh solar system, Ethan, Emily and Luis as they are propelled into the future to solve mysteries behind Earth's evolution while trying to survive extreme climates and hungry creatures.

Jointly-produced by iVL Animation, a studio of ST Electronics (Training & Simulation Systems) and Nelvana with the support of the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA), THE FUTURE IS WILD is the first Singaporean 3D animated television co-production to have been broadcasted on TV in the United States, Germany and Singapore.
