Following rumors of troubles in development, pre-production on Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries is put on hold.
Say it ain’t so! Just when we confidently posted positive news about the upcoming Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series, a Tusken Raider staff is thrown into the process. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kenobi has been put on hold while a new writer is found, following script problems; all materials written previously by Hossein Amini have been jettisoned into space. The previously announced six episode miniseries may also to be shortened to four. On the bright side, Ewan McGregor is still attached alongside brilliant director Deborah Chow. It seems that the rumors of troubles on Tattooine were indeed true. D’oh! Hopefully this doesn’t turn into an issue of Alderaanian proportions.
