Justice League Joins University Games

International toy and game company University Games has formed an alliance with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to create a number of JUSTICE LEAGUE products, based on the popular DC Comics comic book series and Cartoon Networks hit animated show that includes the worlds most powerful superheroes: BATMAN, SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, GREEN LANTERN, MARTIAN MANHUNTER, HAWKGIRL and THE FLASH.

A Colorforms play set will hit retail shelves in mid-June 2003 highlighting BATMAN as the main character. SUPERMAN, BATMAN and WONDER WOMAN will be featured as Doodletop Singles, tops that draw as they spin. Additionally, a Doodletop Activity Kit including five JUSTICE LEAGUE character Doodletops and superhero-themed activity sheets, will be available this summer. Great Explorations will light up childrens faces and their rooms in September with three JUSTICE LEAGUE glow-in-the-dark products, such as The Justice League Super Kit that will include over 100 glow-in-the-dark stars and JUSTICE LEAGUE characters.

The monthly JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA comic book is one of DC Comic's best-selling titles. JUSTICE LEAGUE, produced for two seasons by Warner Bros. Animation, ranks consistently in Cartoon Network's top 10 performers. The shows tie-in comic book, JUSTICE LEAGUE ADVENTURES, is one of the best-selling kids comic books in the industry.

University Games was founded in San Francisco on April 1 April Fools Day in 1985 by Bob Moog and Cris Lehman. It claims to be the largest producer of educational games in the U.S. and distributes more product in more outlets and markets than any other game company. The company has become a major player in the international game industry (now in more than 28 countries) through increased distribution, better marketing and strategic acquisitions such as Great Explorations, Raintree Puzzles and Games, Topline Toys, Colorforms and BePuzzled.
