June Foray Wins Emmy Award

Veteran voice actor June Foray was recognized with an Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her role as Mrs. Cauldron in Cartoon Network’s "The Garfield Show."

Los Angeles, CA -- Veteran voice actor June Foray, the venerated first lady of animation, was recognized with an Emmy award on Saturday night in the category of Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for her role as Mrs. Cauldron in Cartoon Network’s The Garfield Show.

Foray, who is 94, delivered a performance that beat fellow nominees James Hong for Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesome, Jeff Bennett for Penguins of Madagascar, and Rodger Bumpass for SpongeBob SquarePants. This was Foray’s first nomination from the Television Academy.

The Hub's Transformers Prime won the Outstanding Special Class Animated Program award. Other animated winners include:
