Rushes announced that Jonny Hicks has joined the team as Senior VFX Artist/Supervisor. Jonny has over 15 years compositing and shoot supervision experience, having worked on a vast amount of high profile jobs with a wide range of acclaimed directors and agencies.
Jonny returns to the UK after eight years in the USA, working with Digital Domain, Asylum Visual FX and Method Studios. His career-to-date spans an exciting mix of commercials and film work; including campaigns for Cadillac, Boeing, Chevrolet, McDonalds, Budweiser, Heineken, AT&T, Lexus and Microsoft; alongside VFX sequences for films including Transformers 2, Terminator Salvation and Unstoppable.
Jonny’s Flame career started at Rushes, so they really are thrilled to be able to welcome him home.
"Jonny is a rare talent, it is a massive coup to have him join our VFX team at Rushes," commented Rushes Director of 2D VFX Paul Hannaford. "I have known Jonny for many years, from the Glassworks days through to Digital Domain. It was a case of perfect timing really, we were looking for someone special and Jonny was looking for a new home, it just worked. Not only is Jonny a massive talent but he is extremely nice to boot."
