Johnny Bravo Special Lures Hollywood Cast

When do the likes of Alec Baldwin, Jessica Biehl and Don Knotts find they play second fiddle to another star in Hollywood? When one is a cartoon, with the self-appointed magnitude and ego of Johnny Bravo, in JOHNNY BRAVO GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, a 30-minute special premieres on Cartoon Network on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at 8:00 pm.

In this Cartoon Network Studio production, Johnny has just been dumped by yet another date when a big Hollywood producer taps him to star in his new movie, LUNCHLADY S'UPRISE! He wants Johnny to star as the man who helps disgruntled cafeteria workers win their struggle and puts him on the first bus from Aron City to Hollywood. Upon arriving at Big Time Studios, Johnny meets his co-stars Jessica Biel, his serious leading lady, and Alec Baldwin, Johnnys nemesis, as well as a threatening Don Knotts, a hairy-footed hobbit and a non-descript dinosaur looking to play against type.

Before the first scene is shot, Johnny is replaced by a CGI version of Mark Hamill. The humiliated hunk will do anything to get his gig back, even if it means crashing every set on the lot, enduring a series of humiliating auditions or getting punched out by Tia Carrere and Kevin McDonald.

In my career, Ive had the opportunity to work with some really great actors Al Pacino, Anthony Hopkins, Jack Lemmon, said Baldwin, an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee for his performance in THE COOLER. They each brought a certain amount of class and professionalism to the set. Working with Johnny Bravo was not like that at all.
