German animation and VFX studio grows global management team with the appointment of COO Jens Pohl.
LONDON -- Mackevision Medien Design is boosting its management team with the appointment of Jens Pohl as Chief Operating Officer.
Pohl is an experienced manager and his new role will entail the management of Mackevision’s international branches as well as providing support to the Human Resources, Finance and Legal departments. He will also assist with Mackevision’s growth and transformation process.
A 48-year-old mechanical engineer, Pohl comes from the technology group Voith, where as part of Voith Industrial Services he was CEO of the Engineering Services unit. He started his career at Daimler AG (known as Mercedes-Benz AG at the time) where he held various operational and international strategic management positions regarding the automotive business at various subsidiaries and company headquarters. Later Pohl switched to the engineering service provider MBtech and as a member of its management team was responsible for the international branches, procurement, marketing and sales.
“Jens Pohl has vast experience and very good international contacts in the automotive industry which will remain our most important market,” explains Sander van Vreumingen, Board Member and Partner at Mackevision’s investor Gimv. “Furthermore, he has a proven track record in setting up and enhancing business processes in growing companies. As a result, we're delighted that we've persuaded him to take on the role of Mackevision's Chief Operating Officer.”
Around the world, Mackevision is a leading supplier of computer-generated-imagery (CGI) solutions. The high-tech company, whose clients primarily include automotive manufacturers, film and advertising-production companies, has grown steadily over the past few years and is continuing to pursue ambitious goals for growth. The position of Chief Operating Officer has been created as part of the company’s expansion strategy.
