Jeff Ross On Board at Eden FX

VFX industry veteran Jeff Ross has joined Hollywood-based visual effects shop Eden FX, in the newly created position of evp.

Ross has built an extensive career guiding, managing and overseeing the growth of numerous successful, high-end post-production companies. For the past two years, he served as evp/coo of Sunset Digital, a high definition facility specializing in feature film mastering, digital restoration, linear and non-linear editing and DVD compression and authoring.

Prior to that position, Ross was with POP (Pacific Ocean Post) for 11 years. He oversaw and managed the company as evp/coo as it grew from a single floor, 30-person operation, into a multi-faceted, premiere post-production facility housed in four locations. He segued into an md position at POP Film and POP Animation, guiding the development of POP's visual effects operation that worked on more than 50 feature films. These included such major hits as INDEPENDENCE DAY, TITANIC, STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT, VOLCANO, DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, DR. DOOLITTLE and X-MEN, as well as the Academy Award winner for visual effects, WHAT DREAMS MAY COME. Ross has also served in senior management positions at Los Angeles post-production houses Unitel Video and Trans American Video (TAV).

Formed in 2000 by visual effects and post-production notables John Gross and Mark Miller, Eden FX continues its role as the primary provider of CG FX for the syndicated Paramount Television series, STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE, which recently launched its third season on UPN. Other recent projects include creating unique visual effects for the network series NAVY: NCIS, for the videogames BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and ULTIMA X Online and 125 effects shots for the upcoming feature film, HELLBOY.
