JACKASS 3-D bested follow debut film RED, marking an October opening weekend record. Johnny Knoxville and his marry band of misfits earned $50 million in first place. Summit Ent.’s retired secret agent flick (with vfx from CIS Vancouver) killed $22.5 million in second.

Sony’s THE SOCIAL NETWORK posted $11 million in third. With vfx from Lola Visual Effects, the Facebook flick has collected $63.1 million to date.

Buena Vista’s SECRETARIAT rides into fourth with $9.5 million. With vfx from Pixel Magic, the Triple Crown winner’s tale has made $27.5 million.

In fifth, Warner Bros.’ LIFE AS WE KNOW IT added $9.2 million to its $28.9 million cume.

Warner Bros.' LEGEND OF THE GUARDIANS: THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE nested in sixth place with $4.24 million. With animation from Animal Logic, the owl adventure has a cume of $46 million.

Warner Bros.' THE TOWN boosted $4 million in seventh, raising its cume to $80.6 million.

Universal’s MY SOUL TO TAKE scared up $3.16 million in eighth. With vfx from Mr. X, the dead teenager flick has earned $11.9 million thus far.

Screen Gem’s EASY A settled in at ninth with an additional $2.65 million. The rumor comedy has a cume of $52.3 million.

Closing out the top ten, Fox's WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS brought in another $2.35 million. With vfx for Crazy Horse Effects and With A Twist Studio, Oliver Stone’s sequel has made $47.9 million.
