Ireland’s Monster Explores 'Fuzzyworld'

Irish producer-distributor Monster Entertainment is developing an animated series, Fuzzyworld, co-produced by Avalon Films and Alastair Swinnerton’s Toonspace.

Irish producer-distributor Monster Entertainment is developing an animated series, Fuzzyworld, set on an alien planet, according to a report by C21 Media.

Funding for development of the animated series comes from the Irish Film Board.

Fuzzyworld (39x7′) follows two boys, a girl and a dog as they explore an alien planet in which everything is made out of a strange substance that looks almost exactly like felt.

The preschool project, which is also being supported by the European Union’s Media funding body, is a coproduction between Monster and Irish production company Avalon Films. It will be produced with creative input from creator Alastair Swinnerton’s company Toonspace.

Monster will pitch the project at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse next month, marking the first time the company will present a project at the event. Monster won the prize for best distributor at the Cartoon Forum awards in 2012.
