IMAGINARIA 2020 Now Open for Submissions

18th edition is now accepting animated work entries in multiple categories, including feature films, shorts, student films and a special kid’s competition; deadline is May 15.

The 18th edition of the IMAGINARIA - International Animated Film Festival, being held August 24-28, 2020, is now accepting entries for short and feature animated films. The festival, which takes place in the Apulia region of Italy, strives to create a family atmosphere among attendees who gather in the open-air cinemas of Conversano. Its mission is to promote independent animated films and create socio-economic opportunities in the community while furthering the culture of animation. The festival aims to promote animated films year around through participation in national and international festivals and exhibitions.

Films completed after January 1, 2019 are eligible for entry in the following competition categories:

  • Animated Feature Film Competition
  • Animate Short Film Competition
  • Animated Student Film Competition – films produced in educational institution (art schools and film schools)
  • Animated Short Film for Kids Competition

Films compete for awards that are given by international juries.

The application deadline is May 15, 2020, and there is no entry fee.
