Studio’s first original digital series will dop new episodes every Saturday for next 40 weeks starting June 5; ‘Minions: the Rise of Gru’ animated comedy coming Summer 2022.
With Illumination’s highly-anticipated animated comedy, Minions: the Rise of Gru, still over a year away (July 1, 2022), how are we to get our fill of little yellow troublemakers until then? Well… Minion mayhem is just around the corner - Illumination has just invited fans to join them every Saturday, for the next 40 Saturdays, for a weekly dose of wild, crazy, and yellow, with the premiere of its first original digital series, Saturday Morning Minions, starting June 5 at 7 a.m. PT.
The all-new web series will be available on Illumination’s Facebook and Instagram; turn on post notifications to catch every episode when they drop.

Released in 2015, Minions generated considerable box office gold with a $1.16 billion worldwide haul. In the new sequel, coming Summer 2022, they journey back in time to the 1970s in the untold story of one 12-year-old’s dream to become the world’s greatest supervillain.
