Hulu Drops Marvel’s ‘Hit-Monkey’ Season 2 Announcement

It’s official, the badass monkey and his pal, the assassin ghost, will return with all-new episodes of Yakuza-killing fury; they’re on a mission, and it’s taking them to New York City.

It turns out that Marvel’s Hit-Monkey animated series is, well, a HIT! Hulu has greenlit Season 2 of the Marvel comic-inspired series, starring the badass Japanese snow monkey with a “mission.” The show is produced by 20th Television Animation.

In the first season, when the (did we already say badass?) Japanese snow monkey’s tribe is slaughtered, he joins forces with the ghost of an American assassin, and together, they begin killing their way through the Yakuza underworld. The new season will follow Bryce (…the ghost!) and the monkey as they head to the Big Apple – NYC (do monkeys even like small apples?)

Based on the 2010 Marvel comic by writer Daniel Way and artist Dalibor Talajić, the 2D animated series is created and executive produced by Josh Gordon and Will Speck. Returning talent includes Olivia Munn, Jason Sudeikis, Ally Maki, and Fred Tatasciore, with Leslie Jones joining the cast.
