HP Teradici Releases HP Anyware 23.01

New features optimize productivity and remote collaboration with enhancements including HP Anyware Connection Health, New Collaboration Management Console, and Security and Compatibility.

HP Teradici has announced the release of HP Anyware 23.01 with new features that optimize productivity and remote collaboration with the following new enhancements:

  • HP Anyware Connection Health - provides end users a visual and textual overview to indicate the strength of the connection—Good, Fair, or Poor—for a quick assessment.
  • New collaboration management console – streamlines the process of adding and accepting new users or “collaborators” to the shared session with a cleaner interface making it easier to see users and input their abilities.
  • Security and compatibility updates - includes Federated User Authentication for Anyware Manager as a Service, adding a new layer of security for users by allowing organizations to use their own Identity Provider as the source to verify user identity and authentication.

Anyware Connection Health

New features help end users, and IT administrators achieve the most optimal and seamless experience. For example, users can check the health of their PCoIP connection with HP Anyware Connection Health while enabling users with all technical abilities to gain better insight into the health of their connections to digital workspaces.

The feature also provides end users with both a visual and textual overview to indicate the strength of the connection—Good, Fair, or Poor—to help them make a quick assessment.

Precision control in collaboration mode

Last October, the first version of collaboration in HP Anyware was released. Now, alongside screen sharing and mouse and keyboard takeover, the collaboration management console streamlines the process of adding and accepting new users or collaborators to the shared session.

The cleaner interface makes it simpler to see a list of connected users and enables the collaborator to only have the option to view the session or input control. Collaboration session owners can also allow or disable input control for collaborators.

Security and compatibility updates

The HP Anyware 23.01 release will include Federated User Authentication for Anyware Manager as a Service, which adds a new layer of security for users. This security feature will allow organizations to use their own Identity Provider as the source to verify the identity of users and to authenticate them. Additionally, Federated User Authentication will support Okta IdP and Azure Active Directory.

Migrate to HP Anyware from ZCentral Remote Boost and RGS 7

HP Anyware combines the features of Teradici CAS and ZCentral Remote Boost, with more features coming.

It is important for ZCentral Remote Boost users to subscribe to HP Anyware. January 2023 marks the end of being able to access free ZCentral Remote Boost v22 licenses adopted in 2022. Now users with those licenses must purchase the HP Anyware Professional subscription to continue using V22 and receive software support, which will ultimately make transitioning to HP Anyware much easier during the phase-out of ZCentral Remote Boost.

Note that HP will discontinue support for older software, as is the case with RGS 7. In addition, support for ZCentral Remote Boost V20 will end February 2023.

More features coming to HP Anyware soon!

HP Anyware collaboration will soon support more than two users. The multi-user feature is expected to be in the beta release in Q1 of 2023.

When connecting to a Windows host, federated authentication will have an extension with Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality. As a result, the user will only need to authenticate once (using federated authentication with an identity provider). From then on, they can directly connect to their digital workspace or remote workstation. SSO is currently in beta.

Mac users can also expect more support for devices with Apple Silicon chips. Following our release last year for Macs powered by M1 chips, Apple Silicon support for PCoIP clients will be in the beta release for 23.04.

The addition of new features and functionality will continue to help businesses future-proof their infrastructure. Sign up for updates on HP Anyware new features here.
