The Sony Group CTO will present his talk, ‘Co-Creating Worlds with Game Designers, Animators, and Filmmakers’ on December 5, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. JST; SIGGRAPH Asia will be held in Chiyoda, Tokyo, December 3 - 6.
Sony Group Corporation will serve as a sponsor for the upcoming SIGGRAPH Asia 2024, held at Tokyo International Forum in Chiyoda, Tokyo on December 3 - 6.
Hiroaki Kitano, Executive Deputy President and CTO, will give the keynote address “Co-Creating Worlds with Game Designers, Animators, and Filmmakers” on December 5, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. JST. The event will stream live for those not in attendance; in-person participation requires SIGGRAPH Asia 2024 registration.
Kitano's keynote address will focus on how new technology is used to create intricate worlds; he will be joined by Sony creators in game design, animation, and filmmaking to present technical breakthroughs. Kitano and the creators will touch on various topics, from PlayStation's 30-year history to today's convergence of cutting-edge production techniques in film and animation at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Sony will also participate as a Creative Visionary Sponsor, showcasing technologies that support creativity. The Sony exhibition booth will include a 360-degree transparent light field display and various new prototypes of Spatial Reality Display, which provide incredibly realistic 3D viewing experience without special glasses.
