Harryhausen to Speak at Gnomon on April 20

Gnomon School of Visual Effects will present an evening with legendary stop-motion animator Ray Harryhausen on April 20, 2004 at 7:00 pm. Harryhausen will speak about his work (including the recently restored MOTHER GOOSE STORIES) and life and sign copies of his newly released book, RAY HARRYHAUSEN: AN ANIMATED LIFE (Billboard Books), which will be available for sale at the event.

For the last 60 years, the stop-motion pioneer (THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS, THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD, JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS and CLASH OF THE TITANS) has inspired generations of children who, rather than grow up, have chosen to be visual effects artists, designers, filmmakers and creators of all kinds. It's a rare opportunity to meet this wonderful artist whose imagination has given us dinosaurs, creatures from outer space, Cyclops, Medusa, Talos, battling skeletons and inspiration to unleash our own imaginations. Please RSVP to: rsvp@gnomon3d.com.
