Growing Up Creepie Tops Discovery Kids New Fall Lineup

For the new fall season, Discovery Kids has a new animated series, GROWING UP CREEPIE, about a girl who was raised by bugs, plus new seasons of FLIGHT 29 DOWN, ENDURANCE, TUTENSTEIN and SERIOUS as well as two specials with a social conscience, SAVING A SPECIES: THE GREAT PENGUIN RESCUE (hosted by Elijah Wood) and A YEAR ON EARTH, that examine how kids can play a role in protecting the environment.

For the preschool set, READY SET LEARN! has two new series BIGFOOT, a new animated series about a monster truck that embraces rough and tumble physicality, sportsmanship and resilience plus a live-action series, HIP HOP HARRY, that uses hip hop culture, style and music to engage kids while focusing on language development and mental and physical growth. In addition, READY SET LEARN! will feature new seasons of PEEP AND THE BIG WIDE WORLD, HI-5, TODDWORLD and SAVE-UMS.

Returning RealToons include KENNY THE SHARK and TIME WARP TRIO. KENNY THE SHARK is the story of a six-foot, 800-pound tiger shark who has chosen to live on land with his new best friend a girl named Kat. TIME WARP TRIO, a Parents Choice award-winning action-adventure series based on the popular books by Jon Scieszka, is about three kids who travel on animated adventures through time.

Beginning Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, the new Saturday evening RealToons lineup on the Discovery Kids Channel will be as follows:
