The creator of Disney’s offbeat mystery ‘toon series signs a production deal for a script and presentation pilot for Fox and 20th Century Fox TV.
Alex Hirsch, the creator of Disney’s Gravity Falls, has entered into a new deal to develop an animated series for Fox, according to a report by Variety.
Details for the new project are still being kept under wraps, but Hirsch has reportedly signed a deal for a script and presentation pilot for Fox and 20th Century Fox TV.
“I’m cooking up some brand-new weirdness,” the CalArts graduate told Variety.
Gravity Falls, the offbeat mystery ‘toon series for Disney XD that has developed a cult following, is wrapping its 40-episode run with an hour-long finale on February 15. In addition to Gravity Falls, Hirsch has worked on several other animated series, including Cartoon Network's The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack and Disney's Fish Hooks.
