Chris Columbus' 1492 Pictures and Korea-based CJ Entertainment are developing three supernatural family films, including an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's THE GRAVEYARD BOOK, reports VARIETY. Neil Jordan is writing and directing GRAVEYARD, which will be produced alongside Wayfare Entertainment, Framestore and Gaiman. The story follows orphans raised by spirits.

Columbus will pen an adaptation of Julie Kenner's CARPE DEMON: ADVENTURES OF A DEMON-HUNTING SOCCER MOM. In the story, a stay-at-home mother must rid her small town of demons. Previous scripts were penned by Kevin & Dan Hageman, and Michael Dougherty & Dan Harris.

Adam Green (HATCHET) is working on a script for KILLER PIZZA. Based on Greg Taylor's book, the story follows a 14-year-old who works at a pizza parlor, which is a front for a monster-hunting crew. Raffaella de Laurentiis is producing.

In November, 1492 Pictures and CJ Ent. signed a three-year development agreement. CJ gets the rights to release their co-productions in South Korea, Japan and China. 1492 has virtually the same agreement with India's Reliance Big Entertainment.
