Gratz College to Host Art Spiegelman March 7

Online event will feature the famed Pulitzer Prize-winning artist, illustrator, and author of ‘Maus;’ the teach-in will a feature keynote presentation and breakout sessions with the author.

Gratz College will be hosting an online event featuring Art Spiegelman, the Pulitzer Prize-winning artist, illustrator, and author of “Maus,” the masterful Holocaust narrative that tells the story of his parents’ survival and his experience as the child of survivors.

Additional sessions include a workshop on teaching “Maus;” an informal session with Spiegelman for Gratz students; and an exclusive session for Teach-In sponsors with Spiegelman, who will provide a tour of bookshelf and art studio.

The event is part of the biennial Teach-In made possible by the generosity of the late Arnold and Esther Tuzman who each fled their homes as teens to escape the Nazis. The Tuzman family proudly supports The Arnold and Esther Tuzman Holocaust Education Fund.
