GLAS Announces 2020 Poster and 2019 Grant Recipients

5th annual animation festival, coming March 19-22, 2020, is still accepting entries; submission deadline is November 1. 

GLAS 2020 has revealed their poster for the upcoming 5th edition of the GLAS Animation Festival. The illustrator, Lénaïg Le Moigne, was born in Saint-Sébastien-sur-Loire, France and completed her studies at Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation (EMCA) in 2015 with the film Quand Reviendras-Tu?L'après-Midi De Clémence is her first professionally produced short film.

The second cycle of the 2019 GLAS Animation Grant, a program designed to fund independent animators living and working in the U.S., has been awarded to Amanda Bonaiuto for her project Confetti and David Delfuente for Understanding Relationships.

Amanda Bonaiuto is a freelance animation director, artist, and educator best known for her short films and commissioned pieces which have screened at film festivals and galleries worldwide.

David Delafuente is an interdisciplinary animation artist with interests in the moving image, aesthetic theory, semiotics, and graphic design. His work has explored themes of loss, queerness, and romanticism. His films have been shown at festivals and screenings around the world.
