Taking inspiration from the origins of Frankenstein, this dark and atmospheric clip is narrated by Matthew Sweet, and illustrates how the novel came about.
Starring Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Timothy Dalton, and Billie Piper, Penny Dreadful is created by John Logan. The show is a dark adaption of the novels “Dracula,” “Frankenstein” and “Dorian Gray,” while the animation, narrated by Matthew Sweet, tells the stories behind each novel. The first, Frankenstein, received an exclusive on The Guardian website.
